Masonry and Stonework Repairs
Every project is a privilege for us, and we bring our in-depth understanding to all of the complexities involved in it.
Masonry is the art of building a structure using stones or bricks. Masonry walls are built out of individual blocks of materials such as stones, bricks, concrete, hollow blocks, cellular concrete and laterite, usually in horizontal courses cemented together with some form of mortar. The basic types of masonry work are distinguished by the materials used: brick work on walls, columns, other parts of structures, made with ordinary fire and silicon bricks (common or face), ceramic stone, etc.
The most widespread type of masonry work is solid brick masonry using individual bricks set in mortar. Lighter masonry would typically consist of two parallel face walls each half a brick thick and filled with a light concrete, loose slag, or another insulating material, though this kind of brickwork is usually used for buildings not more than two stories tall. Masonry work on the walls of highrise housing is performed simultaneously with the installation of all the prefabricated structural elements of the building, including stairways, floors, window and door units, partitions, and balconies. Suspended scaffolding and building scaffolding, assembled during the process of masonry work, is used for constructing industrial walls.
